    • Les Gourmandises d'Amaxti offers a whole selection of typical Basque products that Amaxti, "grandmother" in Basque, might have in its cupboards.

Created a few years ago in the heart of the Basque Country, its specialty is mainly sweet. Its two must-haves are chocolate and nougat, locally made and artisanal. To accompany its succulent biscuits, Les Gourmandises d'Amatxi also offers a range of teas, jams and spreads.

And why not accompany its delicious rum babas with a typical Basque liqueur or a perfumed wine at the end of the meal?

Finally, Les Gourmandises d'Amatxi, generously Basque, can't help but offer a little salty something; this is why you will find tapenades there to make your own pintxos, the Basque tapas; as well as table accompaniments such as oils, spicy vinegars, condiments and of course the famous Espelette pepper in all its forms.

A very good delicatessen address where you will find all kinds of chocolates, Basque pâtés, Basque mojitos, babas, spices and mustards. Tasting before purchase, charming saleswoman!

While we were simply walking around to show a passing friend around the city, especially on a Sunday, we did not expect to find this shop open and even less expected the warm and sparkling welcome that the saleswoman would give us. ! We were able to taste different chocolates, wines and liqueurs before opting for a “pipi de pottok” which I highly recommend!! (As well as a perfectly perfect cherry liqueur!) Thanks again to Farah for her smile and her advice!

Went by last week.... The store is magnificent! Both the welcome, the delicacies, and the tastings deserve 5 stars! I recommend ! The saleswoman is adorable and very attentive!
