Miss Aquitaine 2025, the new Miss France?

It's a first in the history of the Misses : Aïnhoa Lahitete, elected Miss Basque Country, won the Miss Aquitaine crown on Sunday, October 5th at Futuroscope in Poitiers. Proud to meet her, the Basque Country Guide even had the pleasure of posing alongside this beauty queen. A look back at a day full of emotion and glitter !

Miss Aquitaine 2025, a childhood dream come true

With a big smile on her face, Aïnhoa Lahitete climbs onto the stage to collect her tiara, that of Miss Aquitaine. Elected Miss Basque Country in February 2025, this magnificent Hendaye woman advances her heels closer to the Miss France 2026 competition by becoming the ^first Miss Basque Country to win this coveted sash. It was at Futuroscope in Poitiers that the competition took place, bringing together no less than fifteen beautiful young women who came to parade for the occasion. Happy and proud to bring the crown back to her native region, Aïnhoa Lahitete succeeds Miss Aquitaine 2024 Laura Marque-Brugerolle, and becomes the ^27th miss qualified for the Miss France 2026 competition.

Aïnhoa Lahitete, a Miss Aquitaine like no other

At only 19 years old, this young woman from Hendaye (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) has her head screwed on. A ^first -year law student, she is as comfortable on the catwalk as on a rugby field, a sport she has been passionately practicing for 3 seasons. Alternating between heels and crampons? No problem for this extraordinary Miss Aquitaine, described as frank, sincere, sociable and smiling by those close to her, even a little absent-minded according to her twin sister Loréna. At 1.73m tall, Aïnhoa Lahitete perfectly represents the Aquitaine region, a sash she has been wearing with emotion since October 5th.

Aïnhoa Lahitete, new Miss France 2026?

In any case, this is the next project of this Miss from the South who will defend her colors and those of her region during the Miss France 2026 competition. Organized under the aegis of the Miss France Committee, the competition will take place on December 6 at the Zénith in Amiens, an evening rich in emotion awaited and watched each year by millions of television viewers. Will Miss Aquitaine Aïnhoa Lahitete succeed Miss France 2025 Angélique Angarni-Filopon? The answer will be on December 6 after 3 big parades in evening gowns, regional costumes and swimsuits, followed by an interview to learn more about the contenders for the title.
