    • 20 minutes from Bayonne, the town of Hasparren offers visitors the sweetness of life in the Basque Country and the pleasure of immersing themselves with its inhabitants. Located at the foot of Mount Ursuia, Hasparren has a village with beautiful half-timbered Labourdine houses. With its 11 districts and its 77 km², Hasparren is one of the largest municipalities in the Basque Country.

North of Hasparren and south of the Adour, we discover the Pays Charnégou or Xarnegu which is the northernmost territory of the Basque Country. You will discover there the first Basque villages like Urt, Mouguerre, Briscous or La Bastide-Clairence classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France as well as the Pays de Bidache. Along the water, your visit will take you to discover an unusual territory where Basque and Gascon are spoken and where kiwis are grown.
