  We had a really good time at the hotel. The hotel staff (reception, breakfast and bar) are friendly, helpful. We had brief but good conversations with them about local culture, tennis, football etc and could feel that they are really welcoming and sincere. The hotel is not big but facilities are good enough for us, a bar at the ground floor and the rooftop bar for some great scenery. Staying next to the promenade became a highlight as we’re able to take nice walks to and fro old town, the beaches and the hike to Passaia while not in the thick of the action. It’s amazing how we can be so near all the action but still have a good distance from it.

  Really enjoyed the Hotel. Rooms were nice and clean, and service generally good. My one problem is the toast machine in the breakfast buffet. It makes a high pitch horrible noise, that only some people can hear. I recommend to fix this. I requested it fixed to staff, but unfortunately they could not hear it and thus it was not fixed. This was naturally frustrating. I suggest to have a look at the machine as the high pitch sound completely ruined my breakfast both days. Other than that, everything was nice. Attached video containing the sound. If you can hear it, I suppose you have a good hearing.

  If you look for a hotel for your first stay in San Sebastian I will suggest this hotel. Perfect location, 50m over the bridge and two blocks you are in shopping area. And then two blocks to the right you are in Old city and tapas bars. We upgraded to a room with view over the river, not much extra. Very quiet. Stayed two times one night when driving past, and all people give very good service. If you have a car they have agreement with a large indoor parking 200m away. Also possible to charge your car. And again, it is in the city centre, just across the river with several bridges. Maybe not cheap, but value for money.
