  Wow! Amazing food and service. Need to reserve in advance. Terraza, bar and 2 dining rooms downstairs. Waiters are very attentive. Seviche was delicious and rice with seafood was also spectacular. Totally recommend to visit!

  Excellent food, even for being in San Sebastian! It is not a "fine dining" place, but the food is better than a michelin restaurant I tried nearby. It is a casual, cozy, genuine place with kind personnel, a restaurant that you need to try! I recommend the Bao bun with crab and the scallops. Desserts are also big, so share one between 2-4 persons. Their drinks are also great. The "primavera" is a nice refreshing drink, and their version of a Mule is a nice cold drink. Note that the main dining area is located one floor down.

  When it comes to Peruvian cuisine, I’ve had a lot experience. My wife is half Peruvian and we’ve dined at some fine restaurants in Lima, Cuzco and elsewhere, in addition to enjoying her great cooking. So I can say with confidence that Apu Mar prepares outstanding Peruvian food. Located in Donostia’s trendy Gros neighborhood, this place is a worthwhile stop if you want a good meal this is not Basque, which is what we were looking for on a recent evening. We started off with a traditional Pisco Sour and ceviche tropical—a tantalizing mix of fresh fish, shrimp, onion, mango, avocado, sweet potato purée, lemon juice and tiger milk mixed with a good portion of cancha, or Peruvian corn nuts. It was a perfect start—fresh and tangy! My main dish was the arroz de mariscos, a savory blend of rice cooked with octopus, shrimp and other seafood. It was filling and satisfying, and came with rocoto, or hot sauce made from Andean chile pepper. If you’re looking for fine Peruvian cuisine in a city known for its great Basque food, this is the place to go.
