    • In the middle of La Concha Bay stands the island of Santa Clara, one of the symbols of San Sebastian. Get closer to her with the Aitona Julián!

The island's motorboats have connected the island to the mainland since 1942. A fast and comfortable service, which departs from the city's port.

      We have two options:

Direct route to the island. Available from June to September, it takes less than 10 minutes to get to the island. Departures from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every half hour.

      4€ round trip

Buy your ticket the same day you visit the island. By clicking here, you will find the location of our ticket office.

Route with a walk through La Concha Bay arriving at the island.

For half an hour we will navigate the waters of La Concha Bay and we will have beautiful views of the town hall, the famous La Perla spa, Mount Urgull, Miramar Palace or the Wind Comb. You will love it!

The route includes a view of Santa Clara Island, a space of singular beauty, located at the point where land and sea converge, and in which great natural wealth is concentrated in a small area.

Walk its paths to Casa del Faro, where the sculpture of Cristina Iglesias Hondalea is located, relax with the flight of seagulls and enjoy spectacular views of the bay.

In summer, the island has a bar, showers, lifeguards... Did you know that the beach on the island, which appears and disappears with the tides, is the only beach in the Basque Country facing full south ?

For 7€ return and with departures almost every hour, you choose how to go around, if you don't have much time, just enjoy the trip on the Aitona Julián, in about 40 minutes you will be from return to port. And if you have a little more time, don't hesitate! Santa Clara never disappoints...

I took the 40 minute tour but didn't stop at the island as the weather was looking dodgy and I didn't want to get stuck in the rain on the island with no shelter. Had a wonderful time and really enjoyed seeing the town from the boat. I recommend sitting at the front as you get a great view.

Don't waste your money on the "submarine experience“! Apart from this fraud, the ride is ok, loud and smelly Diesel-engine, but you get to see the bay - about the same as you would with the other, more frequent line. The bay is not really big.

4e return from the pier of San Sebastian to Clara Island. Staff hold your hand embarking and the trip is less than 10mins long. Shame not to. 7e gets you a tour!

Not wanting to swim, kayak or paddleboard over to the island, we opted to take the ferry. The company offers a direct shuttle over to the island or for a few euros more, a 30-minute tour of the bay...

Dimos un paseo por la bahía. Es agradable aunque no se esfuerzan mucho y no dan información. Se acercan bastante al peine de los vientos y a una zona con los estratos inclinados muy interesante. Dura...
