In the middle of La Concha Bay rises Santa Clara Island, one of the symbols of San Sebastián. Get closer to it with the Aitona Julián!

Motorboats have been connecting the island to the mainland since 1942. A fast and comfortable service, departing from the town's port.

We have two options:

• Direct route to the island. Available from June to September, the journey to the island takes less than 10 minutes. Departures every half hour from 10am to 8pm.

• The route includes a scenic cruise through La Concha Bay as we arrive at the island. For half an hour, we'll sail on the waters of La Concha Bay and enjoy beautiful views of the Town Hall, the famous La Perla spa, Mount Urgull, Miramar Palace, and the Wind Comb. You'll love it!

The route includes a view of Santa Clara Island, a space of singular beauty, located at the point of convergence of land and sea, and in which a great wealth of natural resources is concentrated in a small area.

Walk its paths to the Casa del Faro, where you will find the sculpture by Cristina Iglesias Hondalea, relax with the flight of the seagulls and enjoy spectacular views of the bay.

During the summer season, the island has a bar, showers, lifeguards... Did you know that the island's beach, which appears and disappears with the tides, is the only beach in the Basque Country facing due south?

For €8 round trip, with departures almost every hour, you choose how to do the tour. If you don't have much time, simply enjoy the ride on the Aitona Julián ; in about 40 minutes, you'll be back at the port. And if you have a little more time, don't hesitate! Santa Clara never disappoints...
