Akiloukap natural soaps and cosmetics made from Pyrenean goat's milk.
Akiloukap has been making soaps from Pyrenean goat's milk since 2020.
Bastien and Yon met in the Aviron-Bayonnais Rugby youth team and became fast friends.
Yon was a goatherd in the Basque mountains and Bastien a computer scientist, so together they decided to set up a farming project with Yon's Pyrenean goats.
After careful consideration, they decided to make natural soap from the milk of Yon's goats. The breed that Yon breeds is the Pyrenean, a hardy breed with a small population (5000 animals in the Pyrenean massif). The goats spend the whole year perched in the mountains above Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, where they feed only on grass and brambles.
Since 2022, their workshop-boutique in the heart of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port has been home to Yon's handcrafted soaps and cosmetics, which can be viewed on site.
Only natural products are used, making this an exceptional, high-quality product.
