Kanpo

Kanpo is an alternative and committed local Basque Country tourism agency.

The Kanpo team is a team of tourism professionals but also a family of dynamic, inventive and committed partners (activity guides, accommodation providers, producers, restaurateurs, etc.), with whom we build our stays with passion and rigor.

Members of the Actors of Sustainable Tourism, and winner of the Tourism Trophies 64 in 2022, we have accentuated our approach to sustainability. Unlike mass tourism, we want to value people and offer authentic tourist experiences. Discover the Basque Country, differently, in its true nature.

Our micro-adventures:

Our stays, internships and micro-adventure days are intended to offer a strong (re)connection to nature, to oneself and to the collective. They turn out to be unusual, vibrant and enriching experiences: a trek on the GR10, a yoga retreat, a trail course, a discovery stay in cold baths, a farm seminar.

All our proposals are lived in small groups, in all seasons, on ephemeral circuits outside the main tourist flows, and always accompanied by local, passionate and experienced guides. They are intended for a wide audience (visitors and locals, suitable levels of activity), solo, with family or friends!

We also create experiential team building and incentives for business seminars, following one main objective: to promote the collective intelligence of teams by drawing our inspiration from local traditions and rites. Sports and nature activities based on the 4 elements in the heart of the Basque Country: whitewater adventure, cold baths, paragliding, hiking, orientation challenge and more!
