Here is a hotel that awakens all the senses. Hearing first: Our room was located 10 meters from a noisy secondary road, you will have the impression that cars are driving through your bed. The view: The decoration has not been refreshed since the 1950s. You can discover wallpapers that will damage your retina with their ugliness. And even a bidet in your room. Yes in 2022. Smell: A smell of mothballs and wet carpet perfumes the room and will keep you from falling asleep Touch: Unsurprisingly, the carpet is very worn and it is probably more comfortable to walk barefoot on glass wool than on the floor. Ah, and the sheets will surely be your age. Taste: Breakfast at almost €10 for bread, jam and coffee is an aberration. If the desire to comfort you with a good breakfast after a difficult night crosses your mind, cross the road and go to the village supermarket which has a small sunny terrace. It will cost you at least 3 times less. You will understand, it is to be avoided. I still put a star for the friendliness of the host and one for the proximity to the castle.

Absolutely avoid! Forced to take a break in the region due to a long trip, I chose the marie eder.... Shabby hotel, rooms rooms, super noisy at the edge of the road (single glazing) I often do a lot of hotels professionally and I'm not attached to luxury or style and not very fussy…. But there, this hotel should no longer be able to rent rooms... The worst is the price! 170 euros for two bedrooms, one without toilet and bathroom, a shame! You have been warned, do not go there!

Very basic room, very average cleanliness (hair, old plastic shower curtain) with an omnipresent dog smell (from the owner who lives on the ground floor) and very soft mattress unchanged for years. The only advantage is the proximity to the Château d'Arcangues which is a place of reception. Otherwise, I do not recommend. FYI, the prices on the website have increased and have not been updated...
