Less than five kilometers from the Atlantic coast, the charming village of Arbonne combines terroir and Basque tradition. In the Middle Ages, the village served as a summer residence for the bishops of Boyonne.
Strolling through the village, don't miss the old benoîterie which is now an exhibition space for paintings and crafts, the Saint-Laurent church and its wooden galleries similar to the Saint -Etienne d'Espelette as well as the steles of the old cemetery. Also admire the houses with traditional Basque decoration.
