Would you like to enjoy nature in its raw state in the Basque Country ? 3 kilometers from the reception of the Chalets d'Iraty, you will find a natural camping area in the heart of the Iraty forest, open from June to October.

All the comforts of a natural camping area are present: 50 pitches, shared toilets, an area reserved for camping area customers.

Motorhomes looking to take a break in the Pyrenees are not left out: two areas with electrical terminals for motorhomes and caravans and a wastewater disposal service will allow you to enjoy the Basque mountains in complete peace.

Since the Chalets d'Iraty natural area is located in the middle of the forest, it is strictly forbidden to light fires outside of designated areas. Barbecues are available on site.

Practical services nearby

The natural camping area is located 3 km from the Chalets d'Iraty site, but it's not isolated or devoid of services. Simply visit the Chalets d'Iraty reception desk to borrow books, board games, or wooden toys. Our goal? To provide you with a stress-free stay in the mountains.

A grocery store selling local products will allow you to taste the gastronomy of the southwest and more particularly the flavors of the Basque Country.

You can also order bread or pastries from the Chalets d'Iraty grocery store (must be reserved the day before). From 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., you'll find what you're looking for just by walking through the door.

What's more, the Chalets d'Iraty restaurant will allow you to taste delicious dishes prepared using seasonal and local products!

Coming to the natural camping area

Coming to the Chalets d'Iraty natural area does not require any prior reservation. You simply need to go to the Chalets d'Iraty reception during opening hours (8:15 a.m.-12 p.m. / 1:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.), a deposit (identity document or €50 in cash for foreign nationalities) will be requested in exchange for a badge allowing you access to the natural camping area. Payment is made upon your departure.
