The hotel is wonderful, the surroundings are beautiful, and both the common areas and the rooms are very well maintained. We chose it partly because it had a spa and we wanted a relaxing weekend, but the spa experience was very bad and disappointing. We had a reservation for 6:00 PM, went down to the spa, and when we entered the pool and jet beds, the water was lukewarm/cold. Then we went to the sauna and Turkish bath, and they weren't working. We spent a while trying to figure out how to turn them on, but we couldn't. Finally, we went up to reception (in our bathrobes and soaking wet) and they told us there were problems with the spa and that, because of this, they wouldn't charge us for the spa service. When I went back downstairs, the lights came on and the Turkish bath and sauna started working, but the water remained cold the entire hour. They didn't charge us for the spa, but having chosen the hotel because it had a spa (keeping in mind that it's a more expensive hotel than the average in the area), it was quite disappointing.

It's a beautiful, clean hotel with excellent service; the staff is very friendly. Maria José's breakfasts are the best, and she's also incredibly kind and helpful. I highly recommend it. We hope to return. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and excellent service.
