In the very centre of Biarritz, facing the Rocher de la Vierge, the Aquarium de Biarritz opens its doors to you for an original discovery of the sea bed. About fifty aquariums are waiting for you!

You start the visit in front of the aquariums of the Bay of Biscay : jellyfish, octopus, seahorses... discover the species that inhabit our Atlantic coast !

After a plunge into the past through collections (gallery of cetaceans and history of fishing in the Basque Country), you enter the turtle and ray cave for a surprising face-to-face encounter…

Highlight of the visit : at 10:30 am or 5 pm, on the panoramic terrace, attend the entertainment around the seal meal !

Then find the mangrove swamp and its mangroves as well as an 11m long coral reef! Fish with original colours and improbable shapes fly before your eyes!

The giant aquarium of 1.5 million litres of water where 7 species of sharks, rays, barracudas, Napoleon fish evolve, is a breathtaking spectacle !

Good selection on small fish tanks but not much variety on big tanks. Lots of small sharks. Quite a few seals and and a couple of turtles.
