Biarritz Historical Museum A visit full of history in the heart of St Andrew's Church in Biarritz

In an unusual place steeped in history – the Anglican church of St Andrew's (1878) – the Biarritz Historical Museum is an associative museum full of charm and treasures where you can discover the local history. To do this, you will go through different eras that made Biarritz what it is: Biarritz, a village of fishermen and farmers, Biarritz, the heart of Eugénie and Napoleon III, Biarritz and the Roaring Twenties or Biarritz and the world.

Driven by the sole concern of preserving and transmitting the heritage of their city, stubborn and passionate Biarritz residents have gathered in this museum a very rich and varied collection. Come and discover this unique collection of 4000 pieces, objects, works of art...

Entering this Anglican church is like embarking on a fascinating journey through the history of Biarritz, from a small whaling port to a world-renowned seaside resort.

A half-hour video projection, retracing the main stages of the birth and development of the city, is also offered continuously.
