- The Micro-Folie of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port is setting up shop in the so-called Bishops' Prison !
  What is a Micro-Folie?
  The Micro-Folie is a cultural initiative led by the municipality of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, proposed by the Ministry of Culture and coordinated by the La Villette public establishment in Paris. It offers free access to numerous masterpieces for all audiences, thanks to the collaboration of 12 founding national institutions* and more than 400 national, regional and international partner institutions.
  The concept?
  A place for exchange and conviviality, the cultural mediator welcomes you and guides you through your visit to the Digital Museum. Explore fascinating cultural themes that offer a fresh perspective on local, regional, national, and international heritage. The Digital Museum is equipped with a large screen and interactive tablets providing high-definition access to numerous collections and artistic content.
  Equipped with two Virtual Reality headsets, the Micro-Folie offers you a unique and immersive experience. On the program: a journey to the heart of museums, castles, archaeological sites, and even into space.
  The Fab Lab (Fabrication Laboratory) is a creative space dedicated to bringing your most ambitious projects to life. Equipped with a heat press for flocking textiles and a 3D printer, come and discover the many possibilities this space offers. The Fab Lab is also the ideal place to host creative workshops.
  Visit methods:
  - Self-guided tour – Access to the Digital Museum, FabLab and Virtual Reality.
  - Lecture-style tour – Guided tours, reservations recommended.
  - Visits for school and extracurricular groups – By appointment.
  the Centre Pompidou, the Palace of Versailles, the Cité de la Musique–Philharmonie de Paris, the Avignon Festival, the Arab World Institute, the Louvre, the Musée national Picasso-Paris, the Musée d'Orsay, the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, the Paris National Opera, the Réunion des musées nationaux–Grand Palais, Universcience and La Villette.

Paying to see this museum (the Bishops' Prison) is absolutely NOT recommended. Avoid it; the only advantage is the cool temperature! As for the explanations: just read the information sheet!

There were 4 of us with disabilities (80%+) with a disability card and a statement that they needed support to justify their presence. The receptionist told me there was no rate for this group. She didn't try to offer us another rate or, usually in France, free admission. It's not cool to forget about people with disabilities.
