At the foot of Mount Munhoa, the inn is a family home passed down from generation to generation for almost a century. It adjoins the three typical buildings in the heart of a Basque village : the pelota court, the town hall and the church.

You will receive a very warm welcome from Martine and Jean-Pierre. The innkeepers are involved in local community and economic life, and the family bar-restaurant is a true institution in the village.

L'Auberge Etchoinia is also a restaurant where Martine and Jean-Pierre prepare daily menus based on specialties from the Basque Country.

Most of the ingredients used are local products, which ensures the freshness and quality of the food offered.

Thus, the lamb was raised on the family farm located behind the inn, the trout come from the village of Ahaxe (Truites d'Iraty) and the sheep's cheese is matured at the dairy cooperative of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (Garaziko Gasna Etxea).
