Gutizia Estate Guided tour of a vineyard in the Basque Country

Domaine GUTIZIA is located at the entrance to the village of St Etienne de Baigorry, on 1.5 hectares of vines cultivated with respect for the local flora and fauna within the Irouleguy AOC. This organically farmed estate was created in 2011 by Cécile SABAH and Sébastien CLAUZEL.

Immerse yourself in the heart of the Irouleguy vineyards with a unique and interactive experience. Cécile and Sébastien, passionate organic winemakers, welcome you to their winery to share their story and their commitment to nature.

Take a shaded hiking trail leading to their Pikomendy plot, surrounded by hedges, hazelnut trees, blackthorn, and chestnut trees. Along the way, enjoy educational stops with illustrated panels that encourage interactive and visual learning. A fun timeline, vineyard maps, terroir-themed jars, and educational games about biodiversity await you.

Learn to identify each grape variety, like a true ampelographer, and discover the importance of insects and mammals, friends and enemies of the vine. Learn while having fun.

The visit concludes with a tasting of their artisanal wines, notably those vinified in amphorae, offering a moment of conviviality and gustatory discovery.
