  This is a really informative museum with a fantastic insight of the building it sits within and the area. It has great comparisons of then and now. A very helpful guide greeted us and was happy to offer more information for us.

  A discovery! An endearing place in an idyllic environment. A building tastefully restored and transformed into a museum that highlights different aspects of Basque culture. At this moment there is an exhibition to present a book on Basque companies. Very interesting . The guy at the reception is very nice, he knows the culture of the area very well and he gave me explanations about the history of the building and the different exhibitions that are held throughout the year.

  In the charming Basque village of Irissarry, the Pyrénées Atlantiques department has magnificently restored a former 17th century commandery of the Order of Hospitallers into an interpretation center for Basque heritage and culture. This summer the temporary exhibition reveals the richness and diversity of Basque crafts: from the beret to the Pataugas, from the pressure cooker to the surfboard... Very nice discovery.
