    • Located on the ridge road between Bayonne and Hasparren, on both banks of the Nive, Ustaritz is a center of Basque culture.

      Ustaritz invites you to discover the terroir and traditions of the Basque Country through its very rich culture and heritage. It is absolutely necessary to see the beautiful facade of the Lota castle which now houses the offices of the Basque Cultural Institute, the Saint-Vincent church and its paintings or even the Mokopeita house.

      Ustaritz is also the territory of Basque pelota. The village has seven pediments as well as a renowned school: the Kapito-Harri.

      Finally, the rural heritage of this village is very interesting, testimony to a rich past brought up to date by associations in the region.
