  Had a great surfing lesson with Paul from Christophe’s surf school. Very enjoyable for all the family, the team were really accommodating and well-organised. Will come again! On s’est bien amuse!

  My son aged 9 had three surf lessons here this week. We would seek out this surf school if we came to the area again. The boy had surfed a fair bit before but in much smaller, slower waves. He made noticeable progress and gained a lot of confidence in a busier sea. The lessons were scheduled around the tides, expected waves and safety. During the lessons the instructors were constantly vigilant about the current and the rocks, keeping the group together and safe. The instructors and organisers speak quite enough English for little boys who can’t remember a word of their French lessons, and for mummies whose A level French was a very very long time ago and did not cover anything to do with surfing.

  My girlfriend did a 5 day course with these guys. All members of staff were friendly and accommodating. Really good atmosphere! They even let me tag along for two of the days (with my own kit of course) to Surf beside them. Their usual beach break is on the "Erretegia" beach the North beach of Bidart, lovely place. They also have multiple backups of course. A year ago when we both got one private lesson with them, they took us to the Beach of "Hendaye". Surf coaches are really good, big shout out to Laurent who is our favourite coach! Really nice guy and very informative coach. The only downside is we were reassured the coaches are able to teach without difficulty in English. This wasn't entirely accurate, they all do speak English and they most certainly try their best. But being bi-lingual I could see that when they spoke and instructed people in French it was far more proficient and informative than in English. That being said, don't be too put off by that fact. My girlfriend had an amazing time and would definitely recommend surfing with them (even non French speakers), "just be prepared".
