A simple and authentic campsite

Camping Mendi Azpian *** (which means “ at the bottom of the mountain ”) is, as its name suggests, located at the bottom of a pretty mountain where you can walk to enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside and the surrounding high mountains. . In Urrugne , a few minutes from the center and a little away from the bustle , Mendi Azpian was once a family property . It is Frédéric's grandmother, who started operating her estate on the hill, turning it into a farm campsite in the 1980s. You can still appreciate her house, with its red shutters and in a central position, in the campsite.

A few years later, this family campsite is still simple and authentic , except that sumptuous mobile homes and beautiful spaces for tents and camper vans are the joy of vacationing families in search of calm . You can also rent one of the two wooden pods , perfect for couples who want to try unusual accommodation . Here, we rest , we relax . We come to enjoy the mountains, be far from the hustle and bustle of the coast and take a nature break . With the family, Camping Mendi Azpian *** is perfect, because it is built on a closed and secure area . There is no danger or a highway.

Take advantage of the campsite's heated swimming pool ! This is a significant plus, even if you are ultimately close to the ocean : the coast of Socoa is 5km away and Saint-Jean-de-Luz is 6km away. Come before or after a beautiful day of walking , sunbathing or strolling in the pretty villages and seaside towns of the Basque Country , come and take a splash and stretch out on a sunbath.

Right next door is the bar and restaurant , to have a drink , order a delicious homemade pizza , with a real pizza oven ! In season, there are evenings and the possibility of receiving up to 150 guests in the very beautiful and large adjoining room . The campsite also offers a play area for children and large alleys where they like to skate and cycle , make friends and go for a walk .
