A day at Wow Park: outdoor activities for young and old!

Are you looking for a good idea to keep children busy in the Basque Country? That they can jump, play, slide, have fun, scream, let off steam, look no further! Wow Park is in Urrugne (20 minutes from Biarritz and San Sebastian, 5 minutes from Hendaye) and it is the largest outdoor activity park in the Basque Country. On 18 hectares of nature, with a lake and a botanical garden, the whole family (from 2 to 102 years old!) can enjoy an unlimited day in several areas, climbing trees, jumping on giant trampolines, on giant inflatable structures, slides, water slides... And for sports enthusiasts, rides on electric scooters or downhill in the sumptuous landscapes of the Basque Country, parts of Archery Tag (like a mixture of Paintball and Archery 'arc) and a new way to challenge yourself, with the Ninja Splash (do you know the Ninja Warrior?)… Let's go?

An activity park for the whole family, surrounded by nature

We can say that Wow Park is surrounded by nature! Here a few years ago, there was a botanical garden. Hundreds of plant species, trees, shrubs and sumptuous landscaped beds that still amaze visitors. Stroll through the Jardin du Curé and its herbs, small fruits from the Middle Ages. Enjoy the rose garden, the terraced gardens, the lotus pond and its koi carp fish! Here you are surrounded by exuberant nature, it is a magical environment, a Mediterranean tropical atmosphere! Look up between two activities, sit on a bench, slide your feet in the grass and enjoy a beautiful day of laughter and relaxation.

Open from April to early November, Wow Park is the largest leisure park in the Basque Country. We find there:

• The Family Park with its 25 activities in free and unlimited access, enough to have fun from 2 to 102 years old. 2 more water games open in summer, take the swimsuits!
• The Troï-Trott, rides on a downhill scooter from the Col d'Ibardin or on an electric scooter between land and ocean towards the ledge.
  
• Archerie Tag, a new game between archery and paintball
• The Wow Zen, a place to take care of yourself, through well-being services
• The Ninja Splash, for fans of obstacle course races, above water... A treat in the Ninja Warrior genre!

Bring the picnic! You can sit in the park, in the grass or at one of the tables. The park stays cool thanks to its vegetation, even in the heart of summer, but still think of sunscreen and caps. Nothing in the fridge? There is a cafeteria at the top of the park, a snack bar at the bottom and a caravan with an ice machine, everything is perfect!

Urrugne Family Park

This is the heart of the Wow Park project, there are 25 activities for all ages. Children love jumping on the giant trampolines, with multicolored balls. Come and try, you will see that it is a real sport that tires and lets off steam! Laughter guaranteed! The acrobats will pass by the footbridges in nets, to join the pretty wooden huts on platforms in the trees. It's a forest of goblins! You feel very small as you move away from the ground, it's like tree climbing without equipment but in perfect safety all the same! 17 huts perched from 2 to 25 m high await you. The hundred-year-old trees of the park protect you from their benevolent foliage and to come back down? Slides, zip lines... Unless you prefer to rest in the "Mundaka cocoon", a net of multicolored knots in the trees. And to slide? Buoys, summer tobogganing... And when it's summer, you take out your bathing suit to go belly-sliding over more than 100m and superslide.

The Troï Trott and the Archery Tag

Do you like thrills? Come and take a Troï Trott ride! A concept that will appeal to sports fans but also to those who simply like to discover beautiful landscapes in an original way. The Troï Trott is a scooter, crossed with a mountain bike. The wheels are very wide and large, there is no saddle, you stand up like on a classic scooter. The electric motor makes it possible to avoid slipping and to move more easily in the ribs. Because it climbs the Basque Country! We take you to the side of the Corniche, for a guided walk in a small group, on paths in a Natura 2000 classified environment, with sea view and mountain view (yes at the same time!). Explanations and beautiful viewpoints on the programme… 1h or 2h, the choice is yours, but book well in advance.

Do you know the Archery Tag? It's a game between archery and paintball. In a sports field type arena, you are equipped with bows that shoot arrows with a round tip. You will be composed in 2 teams and you will face each other, who will touch his opponent?! A game that works on cardio, endurance, psychological resistance... A great game of fun in perspective! Come with friends and book a slot! It is an ideal activity for a birthday, a cousinhood, a bachelor party for a girl or a boy... Or a corporate Team Building! Groups of up to 10 people can be formed by reservation. These are 1 hour slots, but that's enough to have fun and get tired!

Wow Park, and its extras

Wow Park invites you to soon discover a new sporting and fun activity: the Ninja Splash (from 16 years old). Imagine a large terrain, with obstacles above the water, sporting challenges to climb, crawl, jump… Like the Nina Warrior! Take advantage of your balance through 17 Cross Fit type obstacles, test your strength, your determination to reach the end of the tests in 2 hours...

Want Well-Being? Treat yourself to a few hours of relaxation at Wow Zen. Workshops, yoga classes, Pilates -style stretching to help you maintain a good position in everyday activities. Classes on aromatic plants, homemade cosmetics workshops, all led by a group of therapists!

You have understood it well, Wow Park is the ideal place to spend a very nice day with your family. Take the little ones, the grown-ups, the children's friends with you...
