Visit Elantxobe, turn your head upside down!

In Elantxobe, we don't skimp on the brakes ! It is one of the steepest villages in the region and when you come to visit it, prepare your calves! We take you from top to bottom (and believe us, the height difference is worth it for the view!). Don't forget your towel and swimsuit to enjoy the joys of swimming in the port like young people, or in the seawater swimming pool like families!

Visit Elantxobe

Cape Ogoño is the piece of land on which Elantxobe hangs. We can definitely use this vocabulary because the very steep streets make you dizzy ! We are in the heart of the Urdaibai Biosphere Nature Reserve, and the landscapes are each more breathtaking than the last.

The fishing port is present and very active, like all the fishing ports in the surrounding towns : Mutriku, Lekeitio, Ondarroa, Orio ... Quays and jetties have been built all around the bay and the port, to calm the ardor of the waves of the Cantabrian Sea. To the delight of young people who love to jump from these concrete blocks into the water of the port.

To visit Elantxobe, we have warned you, leave the flip flops aside. To approach the hills with a sure and confident step, wear closed shoes. We climbed all over the village to get the most beautiful views and appreciate the freshness, in the heart of summer, of its streets and alleys . We pass the parish church of San Nicolás de Bari and the pretty Calle Mayor. Lots of restaurants will offer you fish delicacies, others snacks and pintxos at any time. Elantxobe is pleasant for its authenticity and simplicity.
