Whether your travelling for surfing, work or for some fun times at the beach, Zarautz Surf House can provide the best facilities for you, just few meters from the beach. With pristine location at the beach of Zarautz, friendly staff and highly qualified surf teachers, its guaranteed you will have a good time.
  
  Located in a villa built in the 1860s and completely renovated, our Surf House combines history with state-of-the-art, sustainable facilities. We have renovated the house using top quality ecological materials to offer shared rooms of different sizes for 6, 8 or 12 people, as well as smaller and more exclusive rooms with 2 or 4 beds and private bathrooms. We've designed our beds to give you privacy, with black out curtains, wood paneling, interior lighting and a socket for your cell phone.
  
  In our Surf House you will find several common areas that you can enjoy. Relax in our lounge, equipped with a large TV and streaming services. Take advantage of our south-facing terrace, where you can rest and participate in activities such as yoga, tai-chi, karate and jiu-jitsu. We provide great wi-fi and co-working spaces with charging stations, so you can get your work done comfortably. In addition, we have a space dedicated to our surf school, which includes changing rooms, showers and space to store surf equipment.

Honestly one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. The place is incredibly clean and for surfing it is the most comfortable setting you can imagine. The beach is a 30 second walk, there are hot showers in the 'surf basement' and multiple style boards you can choose from. I travelled by myself and had a lot of privacy in the room, and I could read my book in peace in the beautiful back garden. Besides that I have met a lot of fun people who were solo or with groups. But the most amazing thing was that the people who worked at the hostel are the most involved staff you can imagine. They helped with everything and gave great recommendations. I am not a fan of coming back to the same place but this is definitely one of the spots I would happily return to.

Had the best first surf lesson here! Pablo was a great teacher, super friendly, considerate and pedagogical and clear in his communication. He kept us engaged, gave specific help to each pupil, kept an eye on us in the waves and challenged us to learn more. We learned to trust ourselves when catching waves and chill out, cuz there will always be more waves. 🤙 We learned a lot, but most of all we had a great time, so fun! Being a bit scared of waves initially, I felt totally safe with the teacher and caught quite a few waves too 😎🤙 The boards and wetsuits were good quality, the building is right next to the beach, and the facilities nice and clean. Thank you, definitely recommend taking surf lessons here!

Warm welcome, friendly staff and ridiculously well equipped for surfing. The host Marie is very helpful. Also a really great spot to meet other travelers & locals to the area in the evenings. The facilities are very modern…. everything you could possibly need. Look forward to my return visit!
