Built in the 16th century, it was built despite the disapproval of the Viceroy of Navarre and the neighboring municipality of Hondarribia, because of its impressive dimensions, which could reveal the position of the city to enemies. Its architecture is a mixture of traditional Gothic and Basque influences. Inside you will see representations of the Virgin of Juncal.
