    • Located at the gates of Bayonne and along the Nive, Plaine d'Ansot is a sensitive natural area of 100 hectares offering a green island in periurban area. Integrated into the Natura 2000 network, this regulated site is an area of barthes, consisting of a mosaic of natural environments (woods, meadows, reed beds, streams...) sheltering a particular flora and fauna.

Various facilities are available to the public: Maison des Barthes, public reception area, picnic area, ornithological observatory ... Visitors can also count on the presence of the Bayonne Natural History Museum and its scientific exhibitions. The discovery trails allow you to explore the site on foot, by bike or on horseback.

Many activities (scientific animations, creative workshops, nature outings...) are also available to the public throughout the year.

New exhibits every 4 months. The natural museum is small (compared let's say to the one in Toulouse). But the settings are cool (by the river along the river). We keep going back....

A pretty big park that I took great pleasure in walking. far from everything, the park is more or less sheltered from noise (the highway is never far) but allows to see beautiful birds. There are many streams inside the park which is bordered by the Nive river.

Rural, calm and pretty. Paths for strolling in the fields or under the foliage, tables for chatting over a piece of fat. A small natural history museum.

accueil très sympathique, balade très agréable; lieu insolite, près de la ville. Par contre, c'est absolument mal indiqué.
