Crêtes d'Iparla Nature Reserve in Saint-Étienne-de-Baïgorry

The Crêtes d'Iparla are part of the Pyrenees mountains. They are found in Lower Navarre, straddling France and Spain. To discover them, several hiking departures are possible in Saint-Étienne-de-Baïgorry, Bidarray or the Col d'Ispéguy. The main route is a crossing, which takes the GR10. It is also possible to plan a loop to reach your starting point. Depending on the circuit chosen, you will pass through the Galarzé and Harrieta or Buztanzelhay passes. On the way up or down, you will cross meadows of mountain pastures. Sheep, Pottoks (wild horses) and Betisoak (Basque cows) will accompany you from afar.
