  Perfect Place to stay in Biarritz. Staff is really nice, the Bed is awesome and cozy, Room is clean and for France bigger then usually. And they offer Free Coffee from a Jura Machine. Breakfast is really nice (if you are not vegetarian/vegan). Nice Bicycle to rent, 35€ per day & person.

  We stayed for 3 nights at Alfred Hotel in Les Halles and these are my general thoughts: -PROS- 1. Great location - centrally located to all shops, bars, restaurants, beach, etc. We walked everywhere. 2. Cute decor - loved the simplicity of the design, tiles, drapes, bedding. Very chic. 3. Check-in staff was friendly, provided tips on the area, and gave us a complimentary breakfast on day 1 as we were celebrating our honeymoon. 4. AMAZING hairdryer - as someone who packs light when travelling to europe, I usually leave behind my hair dryer and rely on whatever is provided at the hotel. I am always disappointed but can say this was the best I’ve ever used, even compared to 5 star hotels I’ve stayed at. 5. Breakfast was good and had a nice variety but we went 30 mins before it ended so not much was left - go early. 6. A/C in room worked really well. Always felt cool and comfortable, especially at night. -CONS- 1. Cleaning service was poor and unreliable. For example, our coffee cups were never cleaned/replaced after we used them on our first day. Our toilet paper was never replenished, we were down to a few squares of paper on our last night. The floors were always sandy and dirty, so clearly not cleaned. Bed was made and towels replaced once but that was about it. 2. Room lacked basic things such as jug of water, body lotion, conditioner, etc - a sign in the bathroom stated they were available at an extra charge though. 3. Hallways were noisy - we could hear doors slamming pretty much all night. 4. We were placed in the building next to the main hotel - not a huge issue as we are physically healthy but be aware there is no elevator. Also, because we were missing a few things throughout our trip, and there were no phones in the room, it felt like a drag to make our way down and across the street to the main hotel. All in all we had a great time and the hotel was perfectly fine for a couple days, however it is very much a 3 star hotel at best so for anyone considering it, just manage your expectations so you’re not left disappointed. I would return but not for anything longer than a couple days.

  What can we say about Alfred Hôtel Biarritz… Except that it’s a little nugget nestled in the center of Biarritz next to a small beach with incredible charm. When we arrive we are immediately greeted in a very warm manner! Then the rooms are very comfortable and the bedding has nothing to envy of 5-star hotels! If you want to sleep well this is “the place to be”! Breakfast is a treat, delicious and healthy at the same time, and the staff takes great care and does everything to make us have an excellent time. This attention to service is as rare as it is valuable in a good value for money hotel like this. I highly recommend Alfred Hotel, you will not be disappointed…
