Welcome to Café de la Paix in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port! On the Way of St. James, we will be happy to welcome you in an authentic setting and introduce you to the best specialties of the Basque region.

We have an indoor dining room with seating for about fifty people, as well as two shaded terraces, one in front and one behind the restaurant, also seating about fifty people. If you're looking for a warm Basque atmosphere, you've come to the right place.

Opening :

• In July and August: closed Monday evening and all day Tuesday
• From September to October and from March to June: every day, lunch and dinner except Monday and Thursday evenings and Tuesday
• In November and December: Monday lunchtime, Wednesday lunchtime; Thursday lunchtime; Friday lunchtime and dinner; Saturday lunchtime and dinner; Sunday lunchtime

Whether you're looking for tapas, a full meal, or even breakfast, you'll find plenty of options! We offer regional specialties such as Iraty trout, baby squid, veal axoa, duck breast, homemade confit sausages, the Xingar burger... and much more! You'll also find pizzas, burgers, salads, pasta, meat dishes, combination platters, and more. We also offer set menus at €22, €24, and €28, as well as a children's menu for toddlers at €11.

For early risers, we offer a breakfast option with fresh bread, a pastry, a hot drink and orange juice, or a savory breakfast with an omelet or fried eggs and ham...

For those who prefer to take away the food and eat at home, it is possible to order our pizzas, burgers, salads or pasta.
