FROM THE SCALPEL TO LYRICAL ABSTRACTION: GALERIE LUZ 26
Not far from the bay of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, next to the Bar Basque, Denis JANNEAU opened a rather unique art gallery 3 years ago: pushing his door is like stepping into the world of this former surgeon, fell in love with post-war Abstract Art about forty years ago. "We only know how to defend the art we love" supports this collector as passionate as he is demanding. Oils on canvas, gouaches and watercolours, astonishingly creative collages… the Gallery exhibits works from 1950 to the 2000s, signed for the most part by artists from the New School of PARIS, artists known or to be discovered. We will also be able to see, from the same period, exceptional photographs in numbered silver print, shots of stars...
