Goicoechea Handcrafted art creations in Ossès

Goicoechea is first and foremost a name and a family story of three generations of passionate Basque men and women eager to convey their vision of the world through their creations.

The company was founded in the Basque Country, in the village of Ossès, in 1960 by Jean Baptiste and Céline Goicoechea under the name Etablissements Goicoechea. It was taken over by their son Michel and his wife Terexa and became Poterie Goicoechea a few years later, in 1992. They developed the business and created the Goicoechea brand.

Since 2021, Iñaki and Maitena, their children, as well as their team, have been perpetuating and honoring this heritage with the desire to place Goicoechea in its time, while remaining faithful to the brand's values.

The factory is located in the village of Ossès, in the artisans' village on the D918 departmental road.

The 1000m² shop, adjoining the workshops, is open all year round from Monday to Saturday. There is a glass-enclosed educational tour of the workshops which allows visitors to watch the potters at work, and explains the family history, the extraction of the clay and the manufacturing processes.
