The LIVRELIURE workshop is located in the heart of the Basque Country, in the village of Itxassou, 5 minutes from Espelette. This workshop offers you the opportunity to discover the bookbinding craft through traditional and ancestral techniques.

Enter the workshop and immerse yourself in an extraordinary world with the scent of leather and paper, combining a variety of techniques with a variety of materials used.

The workshop boasts exceptional expertise and equipment. Marjorie's many years of experience allow you to entrust her with your bookbinding, gilding, and restoration projects with complete confidence. She will listen to you, advise you on your projects, and enhance your creations.

The workshop is filled with small treasures such as a percussion press (19th century), a backing vise (19th century), and shears (19th century), as well as gilding tools and other gilder's tools (16th to 20th centuries). Meticulously arranged in an old plan cabinet—which has already seen three generations of bookbinders—you will have the chance to discover an exceptional collection of over 600 sheets of marbled paper, the oldest of which date back to the 18th century.
