The LIVRELIURE workshop is located in the heart of the Basque Country, in the village of Itxassou, 5 minutes from Espelette. This workshop offers you the opportunity to discover the bookbinder's profession through traditional and ancestral techniques.

Enter the workshop and immerse yourself in an extraordinary world with the scent of leather and paper, which combines the variety of techniques with that of the materials used.

The workshop benefits from exceptional know-how and tools. Marjorie's many years of experience allow you to entrust her with your bookbinding, gilding and restoration work with complete confidence. She will listen to you and advise you in your projects but also enhance your works.

The workshop is full of small treasures such as a percussion press (19th century), a vice for endorsing (19th century) and a shear (19th century) but also gilding irons and other gilder's tools (16th to 20th centuries). Meticulously stored in an old plan cabinet - which has already known three generations of bookbinders - you will have the chance to discover an exceptional collection of more than 600 sheets of marbled paper, the oldest of which date from the 18th century.
