Recort shows – Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (Summer 2026)

Throughout the summer of 2026, Esprit Taurin presents a series of bullfighting shows at the Jai Alai Arena in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, every Monday at 9:15 pm. Performances will take place on July 27, August 3, 10, 17, and 24, 2026. These shows are advertised as non-killing, in order to introduce the public to a spectacular form of popular bullfighting.

The show features recort, an ancient bullfighting art in which recortadores confront the animal on foot, performing dodges, jumps, and feats of agility without using a cape or weapon. A second part is devoted to other bullfighting disciplines , "A cuerpo limpio" (with a clean body), offering impressive demonstrations based on technique, courage, and precision.

The poster also highlights Esprit Taurin 's desire to share bullfighting culture with as many people as possible. French recortador Mika Romero, presented as a leading figure in the discipline, shares his passion through these evenings dedicated to discovering this world.

The program particularly highlights the final of the Garazi de recorte Trophy, organized on August 24, with the participation of the best specialists in the discipline.
