  A very beautiful golf course with ocean views from the 4th hole onwards. One drawback: the inter-hole layout is convoluted and not very well marked. The restaurant is excellent.

  We arrived to play at Biarritz Le Phare, having requested a reservation by email three weeks in advance, only to find the greens freshly aerated, with sand and imperfections, as is to be expected in this situation. When I asked for information, I wasn't given any details and was simply told the price to pay and to make the reservation through the official channel, which is the website with its rates. It's unacceptable not to be informed when you know this is going to happen, or not to offer any kind of discount. We were really looking forward to playing, and it was also a gift for a friend who was getting married, which they knew because I mentioned it in my reservation information email, so the disappointment was tremendous when the four of us arrived. I think the least they could have done was to let us know, offer a discount on the green fee, or invite us to another round. Furthermore, the bunkers are very dirty, with numerous footprints from the players who came before us, although this is a common problem. Fortunately, we were able to see the good in the day and enjoy it to some extent.
