    • Discover Fishing

The Yachting Club Adour Atlantique will be happy to introduce you to sea fishing during your stay in the Basque Country.

A crew, consisting of an experienced pilot and co-pilot, will take you to within 2 or 3 miles of the coast, on a boat that can take 6 to 7 people on board.

In addition to fishing, you will discover the mouth of the Adour and the beauty of the coast as seen from the ocean.

      Prices:

      • Half-day trip: 65 euros per person (pilot and co-pilot who look after the fishermen) and you can keep the fish
      • Full day: 80 euros per person

      YCAA Fishing School

"The school where there are no dunces near the radiator"
Open during the school year to all young people aged 9 to 17, this fishing school for boys and girls, where repeating a grade is unknown and school records are prohibited, allows those who wish to discover the marine environment, but also to become aware of safety on a boat and the various fishing techniques practiced on the Basque Coast.
Led every Wednesday by four dedicated and passionate volunteer club members, all certified instructors and first aid specialists, the Yacht Club de l'Adour's fishing school allows children to experience their first fishing thrills. And what pride they feel when they return to the dock at the end of the afternoon and show their catches to their parents!

So that the children can "study" comfortably in this school approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the section's two boats, the Crédit Maritime and the Lorycaa, are made available to them on Wednesday afternoons and quality lines and bait are distributed to them.
When the ocean isn't cooperating, which sometimes happens in this area, the children stay in one of the club's rooms, where they learn to identify the different fish they can catch, tie nautical knots, and create intricate fly rigs. But guess what the children prefer: the classroom or the boat?
The most passionate, and there are many if we look at the percentage of children who return year after year, can also participate in competitions and compete in the regional championship and the French Youth Championship.
Do you know of many other summer camps that are as appealing?

      Club Life

YCAA-Pêche is first and foremost a club that practices sport fishing from a boat called: Bottom fishing.

We practice fishing in a way that respects the environment and regulations regarding size and species protection.

This leads us to participate in regional and national competitions throughout the year and to be licensed with the French Federation of Sport Fishing (FFPS). This license is all the more important as it includes insurance and medical coverage.

Based on the results, a ranking is established by the FFPS authorities and only the best will be able to participate in the French Championship.

Apart from the sporting aspect, members can practice for training or leisure :

      • fishing to support
      • trolling
      • jigging
      • squid jig fishing

      Regarding fishing-related activities
