BRANA, A FAMILY HISTORY…

For more than a century, four generations have succeeded in the wine trade. In 1974, Etienne Brana and his wife Adrienne created the distillery and planted a William pear orchard. Martine and Jean their children will take over.

Today Martine, distiller, has taken over and developed the precious ancestral family know-how and continues to innovate with fruits, spices and plants!

All the delicacy and feminine finesse are found through these precious bottles of spirits.

In 1984, we laid out a 16-hectare vineyard in terraces on plots chosen for the quality of their soil, made up of iron-rich Triassic sandstone, as well as their ideal South/South-West exposure.

The diversity of the terroirs makes it possible to offer different expressions and a very wide range of wines. In addition to our passion for vines and wine, we have a real interest in nature. This is how everything communicates in the approach and work in the vineyard: from reasoned cultivation to biodynamics and respect for the environment.

106 different species of plants and 110 nest boxes (the vineyard is home to 35 species of birds, precious auxiliaries) are present on the estate which is now certified HVE, High Environmental Value, level III, in organic conversion.

Also discover the new distillery in the craftsmen's village of the town of Ossés (located on the Bayonne/Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port axis), with a space dedicated to discovering the distiller's profession. The wine estate will also be represented there. The range of Brana wines and spirits will be offered for tasting.
