BRANA, A FAMILY STORY…

For over a century, four generations have succeeded one another in the wine business. In 1974, Etienne Brana and his wife Adrienne founded the distillery and planted a William pear orchard. Their children, Martine and Jean, took over.

Today, Martine, a distiller, has taken over and developed the precious ancestral family know-how and continues to innovate with fruits, spices and plants!

All the feminine delicacy and finesse are found in these precious bottles of spirits.

In 1984, we created a 16-hectare terraced vineyard on plots chosen for the quality of their soil, made up of iron-rich Triassic sandstone, as well as their ideal South/Southwest exposure.

The diversity of the terroirs allows us to offer different expressions and a very wide range of wines. In addition to our passion for vines and wine, we have a genuine interest in nature. This is how everything communicates in our approach and work in the vineyard: from sustainable cultivation to biodynamics and respect for the environment.

106 different plant species and 110 nesting boxes (the vineyard is home to 35 species of birds, valuable helpers) are present on the estate which is today certified HVE, High Environmental Value, level III, in organic conversion.

Also discover the new distillery in the artisan village of Ossés (located on the Bayonne/Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port axis), with a space dedicated to discovering the distilling profession. The winery will also be represented there. The range of Brana wines and spirits will be available for tasting.
