  A tastefully renovated hotel that suffers from poor maintenance (peeling paint on the doors and moldings in the entrance and breakfast room, and on the bedroom door), and furniture that is also showing its age (breakfast room table and chairs) – nothing vintage about it. Cleanliness also needs improvement: the towel warmer was dusty, and there were small hairs on the white bathroom tiles and bathtub. The soundproofing in the rooms also needs attention. We had a room on the first floor, and I was woken up during the night by shouting in the street, and this was in early February. And to top it all off, at breakfast, my partner found several blocks of butter that had expired in November and early December. They gave us advice about free parking and two streets with free parking spaces, but we tried and quickly ended up using a paid parking lot. In February, so in summer, these recommendations seem unlikely, but that's Biarritz for you. These may seem like minor details, but you have people who save up throughout the year to enjoy wonderful experiences, so it's important to provide the perfect setting for an unforgettable customer experience.   We've stayed at this charming little hotel several times and we love it. Sylvie's welcome, whether on the phone for booking or in person for check-in, is always incredibly pleasant, with such kindness and friendliness that it's truly appreciated. The value for money is perfect. The hotel is located in the city center, yet the rooms are very quiet. The breakfast is fantastic; everything is homemade (including the jams, which are to die for!). It's our little home away from home in Biarritz. We can't wait to come back…
