About

  • English
    • A local, independent, and artisanal brewery, AKERBELTZ Brewery strives to preserve the authenticity of its products. Its craft beers are made using a brewing method originating in Germany that enhances the delicacy of the aromas and makes them unique.

Basque by origin, François Iraola founded Brasserie AKERBELTZ in 1999. In 2012, he expanded the small Brasserie AKERBELTZ by moving to the Larre Lore d'Ascain industrial zone, just a few minutes from Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Everything is done on-site: receiving raw materials, brewing, fermentation, bottling and barreling, labeling, tasting, sales, and shipping.

With his entire team, he produces AKERBELTZ beers, artisanal and natural, respecting tradition. Here, there are no GMOs, no additives, no colorings, and no preservatives.
