    • Welcome to Antton, Artisan Chocolatier in Espelette, a village renowned for its chili.

All gourmets and the curious are invited to visit the manufacturing workshop in Espelette for free, and share the passion for chocolate through the work of the Chocolatiers.

A guide accompanies you on an educational, warm and gourmet journey!

THE TOUR IS PRESENTED IN TWO PARTS:

      • In a first room, the guide tells the story of chocolate, and the main stages of production, from the harvest of cocoa beans to chocolate.

      • Then you enter the manufacturing workshop, to discover the chocolate makers in the exercise of their art, and you can easily exchange with them. The laboratory, with its decor with trompe l'oeil paintings, transports you to the warm atmosphere of a traditional Basque cuisine "La Cuisine d'Amatxi" (meaning grandmother's cuisine).

      • The end of the visit continues with a tasting of our best specialties, fine chocolates and spreads!

      FREE TOURS AND TASTINGS

It is a pity that I did not take a photo. The place is wonderful, a must seen if you pass in Espelette, they offer a small visit in their chocolate workshop (part of it for sure), and dégustation. Two specialities of this place: The chockate with piment (yes, it is spicy) is a wonderful accompaniment with coffee. The othe one is the orangette, the fine layer of dark chocolate cove the orangette, Don't miss this place 😋
