      AN EXCEPTIONAL BUILDING :

The Church of Hôpital-Saint-Blaise is the last vestige of an old hospital foundation. Of remarkable originality, its Romanesque architecture mixes with the genius of Hispano-Moorish art, thus bearing the marks of the influences which crossed on the paths of the 12th century. These influences are reflected in the presence of architectural gems, real rarities on this side of the Pyrenees.

UNESCO Historical Monuments and World Heritage bear witness to the richness of this remarkably well-preserved site, nestled between traditional houses from the 16th and 17th centuries, at the entrance to the Basque Country.

For a commented discovery, an 8-minute audio-guided tour is offered to visitors every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from April 1 to November 11 (free participation).

A new 20-minute Sound & Light Show is also offered for a complete immersion in the history of the building thanks to a brand new high-definition and 3D scenography projected inside the church and up-to-date lighting effects. color.

This highly technical spectacle, imagined by the inhabitants of the village, will transport you in the footsteps of pilgrims from the Middle Ages, while respecting the purity of the place.

Let yourself be tempted by an original and surprising journey through time...

From 1 April to 11 November, every day at 11am, 5pm and 6.30pm.
      Prices : 6€ / adult, 3€ / child.

Delightful church and village along the Camino of Saint Jacques of Compostelle. The light show in the church is informative and beautiful, the community is warm and welcoming. There is a vending machine just up the road from the church with food and drinks, and spaces nearby for campers to sleep. Be sure to visit if you can!

The 12th century church stands in the middle of the small village of Hopital St-Blaise, west of Oloron-Ste-Marie. It pre-dates the spread of Gothic architecture and is in the Roman style. It...
