- An exceptional showcase of the karst landscape of the Basque Country!
  Located on the highest peaks of the Basque Country's interior, in the heart of the Aizkorri mountain range, the Oñati-Arrikrutz cave is one of the largest caves in Gipuzkoa. This cave was a pioneer in speleological and paleontological research in the Basque Country and is notable for the discovery of the complete skeleton of a cave lion (Panthera leo spelaea), the Arrikrutz lion. At the Oñati-Arrikrutz caves, visitors can choose from guided tours of varying lengths and difficulties, finding the experience that suits them best: Gallery 53, a whole world to discover; EspeleoArrikrutz, another way to explore the underground world; and/or the family adventure Espeleotxiki.

La cueva no la conocemos por el motivo q por este canal (Google maps) pone que está cerrado y razón por la cual nos fiamos y cuando pasamos por alado vimos coches aparcados y llamamos y resulta q si estaba abierto. Por la mañana también hicimos una llamada y no contestaron

Beautiful little town, peaceful, Bascs drinking coffee, interesting writing on one of the houses UDALTZGIONGIA, prbably meaning Police in utmost interesting Basque? language - sorry for spelling.

The explanations in spanish in one hour were very good. A natural space that deserve a little time of your holidays. Always at 10°, easy to visit, some scales but not get across narrow ways.
