The Maison Oppoca restaurant, located in the heart of the village of Ainhoa, offers a slate cuisine faithful to the traditions of the Basque Country, prepared from fresh and seasonal products. The menu gives pride of place to local ingredients, selected from Basque producers recognized for the quality of their work. Among the essentials, we find the Espelette AOP pepper, the suckling lamb, the fish from the Saint-Jean-de-Luz auction, the farm sheep's cheeses, the artisanal charcuterie and the Banka trout. The cuisine is simple, precise, and highlights the flavors without artifice.

The restaurant offers several service areas. The interior room, furnished with sobriety, preserves the original elements of this old Basque building. In fine weather, guests can enjoy the outdoor terrace, installed along the central street of Ainhoa, lined with traditional half-timbered houses. This terrace, shaded and calm, allows you to lunch or dine outdoors, in a typically Basque atmosphere, with a view of the surrounding hills.

The restaurant also hosts exhibitions of artists whose works are presented in rotation throughout the year. This showcase of contemporary art or local creations allows visitors to discover different artistic universes throughout the seasons, in a setting where gastronomy and visual expression meet discreetly.

The culinary experience is extended by a wine list built around local estates, winemakers from the Southwest, and a few carefully chosen French references. Food and wine pairings are offered to accompany the dishes and enhance the flavors. The team is available to guide in the choice of an Irouléguy wine, a dry white from the Côtes de Gascogne, or a more structured red depending on the dishes ordered.

The restaurant can also adapt its proposals for events by reservation, in conjunction with the Maison Oppoca privatization service. It is therefore a popular place for a gourmet break during a stay as well as for a business meal or a family event.
