The BERGARA restaurant is ideally located for a gourmet break, between visiting the village of Espelette (2km) and the ventas (border shops) in Dancharia (8km). A lovely stop just twenty kilometers from the ocean and its various activities and golf courses (Anglet, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Biarritz) in a small, quiet, and authentic village.

This establishment, run by the Massonde family for five generations, has aged remarkably well and has always adapted to modern requirements without losing its authentic, family-run character. Bernadette and her daughters, Maika and Mirentxu, will warmly welcome you every day in their beautiful air-conditioned dining rooms or on the terrace, where you can enjoy the verdant hills.

The "terroir" menu, composed of local dishes, is offered at lunch and dinner for €17, €19 and €23.

The chef's menu includes crispy pig's trotters, goat cheese on gingerbread, Basque-style baby squid, trout fillet, Basque milk-fed lamb, omelets with porcini mushrooms, beef chuck, chocolate fondant, French toast-style brioche, fresh pineapple, white chocolate and shortbread...
