    • After 7 weeks of renovation, the former Labourd d'Ustaritz relay has had a facelift and is reopening its doors under the name KBourrut, "stubborn" in Gascon.

      Romain, in the kitchen, is also the new owner of the establishment. He has created a refined cuisine, flirting with the excellence of French gastronomy. Lisa, his partner, has followed him in this lovely adventure, but you will find her by his side, in pastry!


      Both are keen to welcome you to this pretty setting of stone and exposed beams, which they wanted to be simple but welcoming.
      You will discover local products and a menu that changes with the seasons.

    A true gem in the Basque Country What a wonderful discovery Capbourrut is! We were welcomed into a warm setting, with exposed stone walls and wooden beams, which immediately made us want to settle in and linger. But it's really on the plate that Romain and Lisa make all the difference. The starters are inventive and surprising, the main courses are expertly prepared with flavor combinations you won't find anywhere else, and the desserts (created by Lisa) are a true signature: delicate, original, with remarkable presentation, and utterly delicious. Everything is beautiful, everything is delicious, and you can feel behind each dish a genuine passion for local produce and quality craftsmanship. The level is clearly that of a Michelin-starred restaurant, with the added bonus of an unpretentious atmosphere and prices that remain accessible. I recommend it without hesitation—one of the most promising restaurants in the Basque Country.

    An absolutely delightful evening! We received a very warm welcome and excellent advice. The dining room is charming, rustic yet refined, elegant down to the smallest details of the tableware. The cuisine is delicate, meticulously crafted to surprise and delight. The dishes are beautiful, and everything smells wonderful, from the appetizer to the dessert. There are truly little details that make your eyes light up (the salt on the basil muffins, the finger lime hidden in the citrus dessert). Exploring the menu was a crescendo of delights; Capbourrut is an excellent restaurant! The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. The team is dynamic, eager to share their knowledge and promote their products—in short, fantastic!
