I had to make an emergency stop due to shoddy repairs at another garage late Thursday afternoon. I spoke with Pascal, who told me he was going to test my 4x4. When I saw him shifting into four-wheel drive while driving, I told him my old car had to be completely stopped to engage or disengage the drive wheels—it's 24 years old. He said he was used to it and that it worked fine. I had Nissan confirm this for my D22: stop the vehicle first, reverse, then slowly move forward, and you'll hear the click indicating that the drive wheels are unlocked. I told Pascal this, but he ignored it. I got a rental car through my insurance company. I went to Anglet (not exactly next door to my house) almost every day to find out if they were addressing the problem! I arrived the day before I was supposed to return the loaner car to beg them to take it in. Results: 1 bill, not 2, because he told me I needed to change my battery because there was green residue around the terminals (which is incorrect for changing it), and after driving 6 to 10 km from the garage, there was a huge noise coming from both wheels... I wonder if garages have any consideration for women with broken-down cars??? I am extremely disappointed because ABIAN is a 4x4 specialist, and I came in confident rather than having to be towed as close to home as possible... truly disappointed. And to this day, my problem persists.

I had my car towed on Wednesday evening (the 28th) and picked it up Thursday morning. The mechanic didn't have any space and didn't have time to take my Mini, but he made a gesture and agreed to repair it! A huge thank you to this garage! True professionals!
