  Nice little hotel and very clean. Staff were very helpful. 5 minutes walk to the centre.

  I genuinely struggle to understand how this hotel qualifies as a 4-star property. We booked two rooms for four people, including breakfast, at Hôtel Villa KOEGUI Bayonne. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell well below the standard the hotel advertises. The rooms had multiple cleanliness and maintenance issues: Torn and stained bed sheets Dirty sink Sticky floor Smelly pillows Missing towels, bathrobes, and bathroom amenities despite these being listed as included. Housekeeping also felt careless rather than simply understaffed. We repeatedly left our key cards in the room, and they were removed each time instead of being left where guests could easily retrieve them. Small detail perhaps, but it reflects the overall lack of attention to guest comfort. The lighting throughout the rooms was extremely dim to the point where the space genuinely felt cave-like and uncomfortable in the evening. The rooms were also far from soundproof. Noise from surrounding rooms and the corridor was clearly audible. Customer service was disappointing and lacked professionalism or genuine effort to resolve concerns. The WiFi connection was frustratingly unstable and disconnected constantly. On top of that, the hotel advertises Netflix/streaming compatibility, but this simply did not work despite following all instructions correctly on both Android and iOS devices. Breakfast was acceptable, but it does not compensate for the condition of the rooms and the lack of basic standards expected from a 4-star hotel. Overall, this hotel markets a premium experience that, in reality, feels neglected and poorly maintained. I would not return, and I would advise future guests to manage their expectations carefully.
