    • Located within the Plaine d'Ansot natural area, the Museum of Natural History of Bayonne offers throughout the year a permanent exhibition on the barthes of the Nive and the biodiversity of the Ocean Pyrenees. You will be able to discover the fauna and the regional flora, between the desman of the Pyrenees, the euprocte of the Pyrenees, the brown bear, the big soldanelle, the groundsel of Bayonne...

      Several temporary exhibitions are presented during the year, on various themes, such as the reproduction of living beings, animal migration, domestication, nocturnal animals... The Museum also offers many events throughout the year: scientific activities, nature outings, guided tours, conferences... The Center The Museum has a large library of documents (books, guides, DVDs, audio CDs...), some of which are at your disposal for consultation and loan.

      Opening: Winter period, from October 15 to April 14: Tuesday to Friday from 1:30 pm to 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5 pm.

      Summer period, from April 15 to October 14: Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 18:00.

      Thursday morning: only for schools and groups (closed to the public) - Reservation required.

      Open on the holidays of May 8, July 14 and August 15.

      Closing: Weekly closing on Mondays. Closing the other holidays, the weeks of the Bayonne, Christmas and New Year holidays.

      RATES: Access to exhibitions and participation in activities (animations / workshops / conferences / visits...) are free, except for some nocturnal activities.

    New exhibits every 4 months. The natural museum is small (compared let's say to the one in Toulouse). But the settings are cool (by the river along the river). We keep going back....

    Balade fort agréable dans cet écrin de verdure. Au calme au bord de la Nive, prenez le temps de découvrir cet endroit.
