    • Located within the Plaine d'Ansot natural area, the Museum of Natural History of Bayonne offers throughout the year a permanent exhibition on the barthes of the Nive and the biodiversity of the Ocean Pyrenees. You will be able to discover the fauna and the regional flora, between the desman of the Pyrenees, the euprocte of the Pyrenees, the brown bear, the big soldanelle, the groundsel of Bayonne...

Several temporary exhibitions are presented during the year, on various themes, such as the reproduction of living beings, animal migration, domestication, nocturnal animals... The Museum also offers many events throughout the year: scientific activities, nature outings, guided tours, conferences... We went to the Maison des Barthes by Tuk Tuk (offered by the city). The drivers and the lady who runs the expo are friendly and helpful! The place is beautiful, perfect for a walk and a picnic in addition to the visit!
