Sare is classified among the most beautiful Villages of France, and it is indeed one of the most picturesque villages of Labourd with its residences of the 17th and 18th. Discover for example the Basque house Ortillopitz, (typical Labourdine farm dating from 1660, its visit will allow you to understand the organization of the Basque farm called "etche", with its furniture, its cellar ..) but also all the pretty white farms and red fenced with slabs of the Rhune.
Visit the town, its arcaded houses, the Church of St Martin, the pediment from 1803.
Sare is also very close to the border with Navarre, and despite the history of smuggling in this region, relations with neighbors, in particular for the right to graze the herds, are managed in all cordiality.
Stroll also around Sare and discover the pottoks (small typical Basque horses), and not far from there the prehistoric caves, as well as a multitude of hiking trails, by bike, mountain bike or on foot by the GR...
