Txu Txu, an exciting ride on a little train to discover Biarritz

Discovering Biarritz by train is a must, punctuated by stories and anecdotes about this seaside resort which has had a prestigious past since 1825 with the development of the beaches to accommodate sea bathing enthusiasts.

At the time, illustrious French and foreign families stayed there, such as Queen Victoria, Kings Alphonse 13 and Edward 7, Edward 8… a prestigious era revealed by the presence of numerous castles and villas. Explore the streets of Biarritz and its magnificent coastline lined with beaches during a 30-minute guided tour aboard a recently renovated electric train that gives you the impression of traveling in a replica of a railway from the 1850s.

Port Vieux, Grande Plage, Rocher de la Vierge, Phare or Casino, the route also includes the discovery of the city's important tourist sites. Board from the Grande Plage Ouest (Esplanade du Casino) every 45 minutes or every 30 minutes in summer, the little Txu Txu train is in operation from April 1 to November 11 as well as every weekend. "Queen of Beaches and Beach of Kings", that sets the tone for the visit!

• April / May / June / September / October / November from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. departures every 45 min.
• July / August from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. departures every 30 min.
• December and February holidays: departure 2:00 p.m. / 2:45 p.m. / 3:30 p.m. / 4:45 p.m.

Individual rates - approximately 30 minutes

• Children under 3 years old: Free
• Children aged 4 to 12: €5
• + 12 years and adults: €8

Group Rates - 45 minutes approximately

• Children under 3 years old: Free
• Children from 4 to 12 years old: €6
• + 12 years and adults: €9

NEW FOR 2025: From April 2025, the little train will complete its route by passing through the market district
